MSP BACNet ArchestrA Integration Package

Overview
|
|
The BACNet package provides connectivity and integration of BACNet devices to the Wonderware ArchestrA plattform.
The package contains these components:
- DASMSPBACNet DAS Server
Provides read/write access and browsing of BACNet devices. It provides full OPC functionality.
- MSP BACNet Application Generator
Automatically generates instances of BACNet objects discovered on the BACNet network

The MSP BACNet Model
for the Wonderware System Platform

The MSP BACNet application generator scans the BACNet network and creates MSP BACNet device objects representing the BACNet devices. BACNet device objects can be configured to access runtime data via the DASMSPBACNet DAS Server. Static BACNet data values can be acquired on-line directly from the BACNet if the ArchestrA IDE node has access to the network. This reduces the IO count of the ArchestrA application.

BACNet Application Generator
|
|
The BACNet application generator significantly simplifies the implementation of large BACNet applications. It allows browsing the BACNet for devices and objects and it provides an interactive GUI to create the corresponding ArchestrA application objects. In addition all IO references are configured automatically to avoid typing errors and speed up the integration process. The application generator also allows resynchronisation of the application after reconfiguring BACNet devices.

The entire process of creating the application objects is logged and can be exported for documentation purposes.
The application generator allows using preconfigured ArchestrA templates as well as generating the required templates as they are needed.
